Frequently Asked Questions
Can I pay my water bill online?
Not at this time. While there are third-party companies, such as DOXO, that may present themselves in a way that appears official or affiliated with the District, we have no partnership or association with these providers. Payments made through any third-party service are not processed directly by our office, and we do not have access to account information, payment details, or transaction records submitted through those platforms. These services charge fees in excess of your bill to make profit. To ensure timely and accurate processing of your payment, please use only the payment methods officially provided by the Water District on the bill you received in the mail.
How can I pay my bill?
You can either mail your payment to:
PO Box 413, Sunderland, MA 01375
Or drop off your payment in person at:
1 Warner Drive (the old Fire Station).
If no one is there, use the dropbox to the left of the entrance door.
Why am I getting two different types of bills for water?
Customers make two types of payments related to their water: one is a Water Tax assessment you receive with your Town of Sunderland Real Estate taxes and is paid to the town Treasurer; the other is your water bill for actual water usage, which is paid to the Water District directly.
Bills for water usage are mailed semi-annually (twice a year).
